We are a culture, a nation of black people that have been compartmentalized into a small stereotypical category that limits us to only a few looks. If euro directed Hip-Hop wasn't what led our fashion, then how would our fashion look? It would look like my clothing line, my collections.

I am always inspired to create new and refreshing designs and put them on a canvas, you! It doesn't matter the ethnicity or culture you are from. Even though my designs are created with the black culture at the forefront, it is available for all to enjoy. I want all people of every shape, size, and culture to take a piece of me wherever, for whatever and feel confident and cool while doing it.

The story behind the video you see above is about being a rebellious version of ourselves. This video was shot during the pandemic. We must wear masks and hide inside without much human contact; do not be noticed. But in the video, you clearly see a gathering where people touch and the only mask they wear is the mask that covers the eyes to add mystery in order to avoid getting caught.

We move into a new era of fashion being rebellious and daring to be different. Not hiding behind what has already been done but instead standing out in a mysterious way. You won't always know what goes on here at Artystri, but it will always dare to be different and unique.

Going Into a New Era

Leading fashion into this new era of design is something I love, something I wish would hurry up! LOL... but I love the journey and all of its beauty. Me slowly coming into more recognition every year and being asked to appear in a variety of places and shows only tells me that I am headed in the right direction.
